Nostalgic Ninja Battles

Ultimate Shipuden: Ninja Heroes Impact is an action game created by 8Mars Space. The action game is based on the manga and anime franchise Naruto. Players choose iconic characters and form a three-man team to face opposing rivals.

A Decade of Legendary Battles

Naruto is one of the most iconic series by Masashi Kishimoto in Weekly Shōnen Jump, spanning across almost two decades from 1999 to 2014. The story is about a village outcast name Uzumaki Naruto who ambitions to become the village leader and to prove his value among his peers. Along the way, he gained friends and threatening rivals and learning powerful ninja skills. The rising underdog trope mixed with Japanese mythologies, tragedy, dramatic stories, hot-blooded heroism and over the top action has resonated among fans all over the world.

Classic Heroic Duels

Ultimate Shipuden: Ninja Heroes Impact features multiplayer combat through an ad-hoc WiFi connection. Everyone can enjoy a single or multiplayer mode wherever they are. There are 20 playable characters from the cast of Naruto. Some of the iconic characters include Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, Hatake Kakashi, Gaara, and Uchiha Itachi. The most noticeable feature is that they resemble how they look like in the anime. Fans of the Naruto Ninja Storm series will also notice that this action game is a scaled-down version of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 so there will be missing characters, skills, stages and assists. Players can either select a premade team or compose a custom team. Fans can actually combine their favorite characters into their dream squad. They also have to pick a character or team-based skill before starting a match. Each character has their own skills and forming specific character combinations unlock team-specific skills. Players can also select 8 interactive stages with items and traps based on memorable story events. The controls are somehow serviceable due to its button-mashing nature. On the other hand, there are button combinations to perform specific ninja skills, awakenings and secret techniques.

Challenging Trials To Complete

Heroes Mode is a single player mode with a story-driven adventure. Players proceed in the course through team battles with A.I. designated stages. Winning each battle rewards players with color-coordinated scrolls and points for upgrading each character, at the same time their health and chakra are restored. Sometimes the "Pakkun's Treasure Box" mini-game appears and players choose a randomized reward. A short movie is played after completing Heroes Mode where players can watch their team’s cinematic ending. The Promotions Mode is an objective oriented challenge but bounded into playing a single character from a team. The rewards include more scrolls and ranking up from Genin level to Hokage level. Naruto’s House is the game’s hub area for checking player progress, as well as viewing unlockable contents. Players can also trade their own player profile for comparing progress in the story mode as well as battle statistics.

Remembering the Legacy

Ultimate Shipuden: Ninja Heroes Impact brings back the older times when Naruto was a rising series in the early 2000s. Despite its minimal contents, players can still enjoy ninja battles on the go. They can also look back how far the beloved ninja series has strided from a simple journey about friendship, effort and victory to a titanic worldwide epic.
